It is with pleasure we announce the appointment of Jeremy Grooby as the new Associate Member to the CCPG Board. Jeremy replaces Ginny Brailsford who is off on new adventures.
The CCPG Board provides strategic leadership and governance to CCPG. Current directors are community pharmacist owners elected at the AGM. The Associate position on the Board brings with it the perspective of the non-owner community pharmacist and helps to ensure community pharmacy remains innovative and relevant in our ever-changing environment.
Let us introduce you to Jeremy in his own words.
"I started my career as an intern at Christchurch Hospital in 2011. After qualifying I practiced as a rotational clinical pharmacist at various CDHB hospitals for the next couple of years prior to travelling overseas. Since returning I have spent the last 3 years managing The Pharmacy @ Opawa.
I am involved in a couple of healthcare initiatives at Opawa including setting up a successful clinical pharmacy service for Southern Cross Hospital in Christchurch and being involved in starting The Pharmacy @ Your Community Charitable Trust as both a Trustee and the current secretary."
Being a current Pegasus small Group Leader and an intern pharmacist assessor and intern training day facilitator for PSNZ, Jeremy’s interest and reach in Community Pharmacy extends well beyond the borders of The Pharmacy @ Opawa.
Jeremy is keen to see Community Pharmacy grow to its full potential in Canterbury utilizing the skills, passion and tech savviness of fellow millennials.
Outside of Pharmacy Jeremy loves to explore the outdoors and spends most his weekends hiking, mountaineering and running in the backcountry.
Welcome Jeremy and we look forward to our journey together.
